map of norfolk 1finding your way

Sat-navs are all the rage. When you are driving at night you can peer into the car in front and there they are, a bright little image on the screen on the dashboard. I have a friend whose car shows dvds on his screen although not when he is driving! I ask myself, what is wrong with just good old fashioned maps? Just a little homework and then you can start off on the adventure. If you are concerned about your destination why not get the phone number of where you are going and then get them to talk you in if you have to admit defeat? There you go; at a swoop I have just saved you £120 on the latest tom-tom!
My eldest granddaughter has just started secondary school at the age of 11. It is a split site campus and apart from being exhausted at the end of the day she has found herself on the north site when she should be on the south site and vice versa. She is enjoying it very much - just as well, she is stuck with it for at least the next five years!
Life can be described by some as a journey. Some talk of it as a pilgrimage. The psalmist says in Psalm 84 v5-8; Blessed are those whose strength is in you, who have set their hearts on pilgrimage. As they pass through the Valley of Baca, they make it a place of springs; the autumn rains also cover it with pools. They go from strength to strength, till each appears before God in Zion. Hear my prayer, O LORD God Almighty; listen to me, O God.
That sounds like a very positive way to approach life. As we journey towards our home with God we bring blessing and hope wherever we go. When we seem somewhat lost we cry to Him and He sets us off on the right path again.
There are times when we feel we have gone so far up a cul-de-sac that there is no longer a destination in view but Jesus is fantastic at forgiveness, turning us around and getting back on the new track that now lies before us. When Jesus says, ‘follow me’ He always knows what He is doing!
