We have a dream of a church that is a company of people passionately loving and worshipping God, enjoying His presence, getting to know Him more, tuned into His voice and willing to do what He says.
We have a dream of a church that is a real joy to be part of, with people of all ages coming together to learn, to love, to worship, to evangelise, to pray etc; a church rich in worship, fellowship, discipleship, servanthood and evangelism.
We have a dream of a church where everyone and anyone is accepted as a valuable individual with a destiny in God, a place in the body of Christ, having gifts and abilities that play an essential part for that body to fulfil Jesus' commission and God's purposes. Where everyone is able to minister, serve and contribute in a meaningful way.
We have a dream of a web of small groups, showing by their lifestyle an alternative way to live, believing in and preferring one another, supporting, encouraging and praying.
We have a dream of a church of people that are real, true to themselves and true to God, living life with passion and fullness.
We have a dream of a church which is a safe environment for broken, hurting, lonely and discouraged people to come, to be accepted, loved, understood, healed, envisioned, given hope, purpose and meaning for life and equipped to share what they have received with others.
We have a dream of a church that makes the truth about Jesus known in the community, that Jesus will be on the agenda in every home, through friendship, serving, and acts of kindness, social events, prayer and evangelism. (Community = the local area where the church meets and the wider community of Norwich which includes each person's circle of family, neighbours, friends, acquaintances and work colleagues).
We have a dream of a church that provides a place in the community where people can come to be cared for practically and emotionally. A church able to resource community projects, with the necessary property from which they can operate successfully. A church where family life and marriage are honoured and supported.
We have a dream of a church that values and nurtures children and young people in a relevant way, believing that they have a major role to play now and can participate fully in the life of the church: a motivated group of young people, who in turn reach out to their friends.
We have a dream of a generous church that will give, give, give, and will be a wonderful blessing to others, be they individuals, groups, the community or churches.
We have a dream of a church that will minister to the poor in any way possible, thus having an effect on contemporary society.
We have a dream of a church that loves to worship and uses creative ways, touching all aspects of the arts, not for performance or effect, but in love for Christ.
We have a dream of a church whose leaders serve and never seek to exercise control or lord it over others.
We have a dream of a church where people are growing and maturing, being trained, training others, discovering a love for the scriptures and living by them and praying about everything!
We have a dream of a church that will plant new congregations and churches.
We have a dream of a church that loves the whole world, and one that will support its own missionaries around the world.
We have a dream to see Norwich changed by churches, and out of the overflow of what is built, Christians working together in prayer and evangelism, social action and care, without jealousies and personal agendas, but sacrificially, because of a desire to see the Kingdom of God come.
We have a dream to see thousands of the population of Norwich become disciples of Jesus as the Kingdom of God advances.
